Diljit Dosanjh, who is her love interest in Udta Punjab, plays a uniformed officer
SpotboyE.com has learnt that Diljit Dosanjh plays a cop in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab. The gritty thriller, which revolves around the youths vulnerability to drugs, has the actor paired with Kareena Kapoor. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in leading roles.
The Punjabi star has wrapped up a major portion of his shoot. Says a source close to the actor, “Diljit worked hard to get into the skin of the character. He met cops in Punjab and asked them for a few tips to play the role correctly.”
For those whove come in late, Ayushmann Khurrana was reportedly considered for the role. However, he was replaced by Diljit.
The film will release on the Republic Day weekend in 2016 alongside Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift.
